William Filbee
 
 
  This is the last will and testament of one William Filbee of Aston Rowant in the County of Oxford Yeoman Farmer of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding (praised be God) I give and devise all that freehold messauge and tenement farm lands and premises with their appoints situated and being at Kingston Blount in the parish of Aston Rowant and County of Oxfordshire aforesaid now in the occupation of my son Thomas Filbee unto him my said son Thomas Filbee, his heirs and assignee forever but subject and charged as hereinafter mentioned I give and devise all that cottage or tenement with the buildings and appoints thereto belonging in Kingston Blount aforesaid and adjoining the rickyard of my said farm now in the occupation of the widow Gump? Unto my grandson William Filbee (son of my said son Thomas Filbee) and his heirs and assignee forever. I give and devise all that my other cottage or tenement with buildings, gardens and appoints thereto belonging situated in Kingston Blount aforesaid also ajoining the said rickyard now in the occupation of the widow Scrudge? unto my grandson Charles White son of my daughter Mary White and to his heirs and assigns forever. I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Mary wife of Thomas White of Oakley in the parish of Chinnor in the said County of Oxford the sum of six shillings a week during the term of her natural life ton be paid to my said daughter on Saturday in every week by my said son Thomas Filbee his heirs or assigns out of my farmland and premises in Kingston Blount aforesaid hereby devised to him and heirs aforesaid the first payment thereof to begin on and be made on the next Saturday after my demise and I do thereby expressly charge the said farmlands and premises with the payment thereof in manner aforesaid and in case the said worldly sum of six shillings or any part thereof shall be in arrear and unpaid for two consecutive weeks then I do thereby give to my said daughter Mary White the same powers and remedies to enter on the said farmlands and premises and to distrain for the recover thereof as are given to Landlords/by Law to distrain for recovering such when in arrears. I give and bequeath unto each of my grandsons William Filbee and Charles White and to each of my granddaughters Sophia, Mary and Elizabeth Filbee, daughters of my son Thomas Filbee, the legacy and sum of one hundred pounds apiece of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid to them respectively within twelve months next after my demise by my executors herein after named. I give and bequeath unto my said son Thomas Filbee and my daughter Elizabeth the wife of Mr.John Bailey all my ready money at interest and securities for money and all other debts due and owing to me at the time of my demise to be equally divided between them share and share alike but subject to and charged with the payment of my funeral and outstanding expenses all such debts as I shall owe at the time of my demise and the legacies hereinbefore by me given to my grandchildren. I give and bequeath all and every of my household goods and furniture plate linen and china and all other my implements and utensils of household whatsoever unto my said daughter Elizabeth Bailey and my will and meaning is that the said household goods plate linen china and implements and utensils of household and also the share of my money given unto my said daughter Elizabeth with my said son Thomas Filbee shall be for her own sole and separate use and benefit and not to be subject or liable to the control or intermeddling of her present or any future husband and to be at her own disposal not withstanding her present or future co???ture. I give and bequeath all my stock of corn, grain and hay as well growing as at harvest, farming utensils and stock of cattle and other the rest and residue of my personal estate not hereinbefore essentially disposed of unto my son in law the said John Bailey to and for his own use and benefit and I do thereby nominate constitute and appoint my son Thomas Filbee and my said son in law John Bailey executors of this my last will and testament thereby revoking all former and other wills by me made. I for?? this to be my last will and testament only. In witness whereof I the said William Filbee the testator have hereinto set my hand and seal the fifteenth day of April in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and nine.
