  In the name of God Amen. The twelth day of October in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Six, I Robert Woodman of Nettleton in the County of Wilts, yeoman, being weake, and firbe in body but perfect of minde & memorie (thankes bee given unto Allmighty God), doe make this my last will and testament in manner forme as following, viz.inprimis, I commend my soule into the hands of Allmighty God, my maker, sanctifier and redeemer trusting to obtaine forgiveness of my sins, and life everlasting by the shedding of the Blood of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christe, and by noe other meanes, and my body to bee buryed in the Churche or Churchyard of Nettleton abovenamed.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Joanne Woodman thirty pounds of lawful money to be paid in twelve month after my decease. Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne Woodman thirty pounds of lawful money to be paid in twelve months after my decease.
Item I give and bequeath to my daughter Jane Woodman twenty pounds of lawful money to be paid when shee doth come to the age of twenty years. Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Woodman twenty pounds of lawful money to bee paid when shee doth come to the age of twenty years. Item, I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Woodman twenty pounds of lawful money to bee paid when he doth come to the age of one and twenty years. Item, I give and bequeath unto my sonne Samuel Woodman twenty pounds of lawful money to bee paid when he doth come to the age of one and twenty years. Item, I give and bequeath unto my sonne Robert Woodman six pounds of lawful money to bee paid when he doth come to the age of one and twenty years. All the rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable (my debts and funeral discharged) I give and bequeath unto Jane my wife ??? I doe make my whole executrix of this my last will and testament. ??? I doe appoint my brother Paul Woodman to bee ??? of this my last will and testament & I doe give him one shilling sixpence. Robert Woodman his marke/witness to this will.
