We whose names are hereunto subscribed being the greater part of the occupiers of lands in the parish of Aston Rowant do hereby signify our consents to agree with John Grant of Wornenhall in the County of Bucks that in case he shall pay a proper attention to taking moles in the said parish for the space of three years from the date hereof we will find ourselves to pay him the sum of six pounds sixteen shillings and sixpence yearly for such his trouble and the said John Grant doth hereby convent for himself and son that he will undertake to keep the said parish reasonable clean of moles for the same term upon receiving the above sum for the space of three years. As witness our hands, this 25th day of March 1799.
